The fastest way to pay your fine is online. Enter your payment reference number or obligation number which is usually found on the top-right corner of your fine.
Always check the payment instructions on your fine before you pay. For some fines, payment must be made to the enforcement agency that issued it, not to Fines Victoria.
If your fine is for a traffic camera offence and you were not driving the vehicle at the time, you should not pay the fine. You should nominate the person who was driving so the fine can be reissued to them.
If you have received a handwritten fine or your fine does not have an obligation number, and you would like to pay it on this website, by BPAY or by phone please call Fines Victoria on 03 9200 8111.

Return to the topWhen an Infringement Notice is issued by an enforcement agency, you must pay it by the due date or do something else about it.
If you do not pay it or do something about it, a Penalty Reminder Notice is issued for the fine and the cost of the fine will go up. You should pay the fine or contact the agency that issued the fine to talk about your options. Their contact number is on the notice you received.
If you still don't take action, a Notice of Final Demand is issued and the cost of the fine goes up again. You should pay this fine by the due date or contact us to discuss your options.
If you don't do anything, an Enforcement Warrant may be issued, and the Sheriff may become involved. Fines Victoria may also apply a driver or vehicle sanction against you.
If you cannot afford to pay your fine in full, you can ask to pay in regular instalments. If eligible, you can pay your fines in monthly or fortnightly payments. Your payments can also be automatically deducted from your Centrelink payment.
You can also ask for more time to pay.
If you meet certain criteria, you may be able to apply for the Work and Development Permit scheme or the Family Violence Scheme.
If you would like to speak to someone about your fine in your preferred language, call us on (03) 9200 8111 or 1300 369 819 (for regional callers).
