If you can't pay your fine in full by the due date, you can ask to pay by instalments.
If you're eligible, you'll be able to combine your outstanding fines into a payment arrangement, and then choose to pay it off in monthly or fortnightly payments.

Once a decision has been made, you'll receive a notification in the post explaining the outcome of your application.
If your application is successful, you'll receive information about how to pay your instalments.
If you wish to enter into a direct debit agreement, please call Fines Victoria on (03) 9200 8111 (1300 369 819 regional callers) after you have received notification that your payment arrangement is successful, and we will set up your direct debit over the phone.
If you have set up a direct debit arrangement with a bank/financial institution account, you should download and read the Direct Debit Service Agreement.

If you do not pay it or do something about it, a Penalty Reminder Notice is issued for the fine. The cost of the fine will go up. You should pay the fine or contact the agency that issued the fine to talk about your options. Their contact number is on the notice you received.
If you don't do anything, an Enforcement Warrant may be issued, and the Sheriff may get involved.
