Proposed legislative changes around concessional COVID-19 infringement fines

The Victorian Government is proposing to introduce a concessional rate for COVID-19 infringement fines. If the legislation passes, government will announce a commencement date, likely to be in 2022. The concessional rate will apply to people who can provide evidence they meet the prescribed criteria relating to financial hardship.

If you have fines that may be eligible under the proposed scheme you should act now to avoid enforcement action being taken.

You can apply for a payment arrangement as a temporary way to manage your COVID-19 fine should the scheme be approved.
