Coronavirus (COVID-19) update: need support with your fines?
Published on Aug 05, 2020
Metropolitan Melbourne has moved to Stage 4 restrictions with stronger rules in place to limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). A curfew has been implemented across Melbourne from 8pm to 5am. The only reason to leave home during these times will be for work, medical care and caregiving. Stage 3 restrictions take effect in regional Victoria from 11.50pm on Wednesday 5 August 2020.
This is a difficult and uncertain time for many Victorians, and support is vital and available. We understand some customers are experiencing significant hardship because of coronavirus (COVID-19).
If you are experiencing financial hardship and having difficulty paying your fine, there are options to help you manage your fine debt. You can contact Fines Victoria to discuss your individual circumstances and options available to you.
If you believe you’ve been unfairly issued with a fine or that there is a valid reason why your fine should be withdrawn, you can request a review.
Please note that:
- Fines Victoria is currently implementing new ways of working in response to coronavirus (COVID-19).
- Counter services are currently unavailable; however all payments, submissions and enquiries can be made by phone on 9200 8111 or via this website.
